Playing Dress-Up

Well now... It would appear that I'll be attending my first bona-fide, costume required Halloween party in quite some time! My normal routine for this particular day is to shut the porch light off and pretend I'm not home, so this will be quite a change..

Now I won't give away what I'll be, but I only had to get a couple of accessories to complete the look. Most of this ensemble is stuff I wear fairly regularly anyway.

Scary, huh?

And yes, it is a real costume! I'm not going as "Tim", or "Biker Dude", or some lame assed not-really-dressing-up costume..

Hmm...well the party is on Saturday night, and since Halloween is on Sunday night you can still turn off your porch light and act like you're not home.

Of course now that I know you really will be home I will just bang on the door with my son until you open up and give us some candy - some really GOOD candy! ;)

HA!

Ummm...Ryan really likes plain chocolate, or York Peppermint Patties...I like, umm...candy. But we wouldn't be picky, especially since we'd be harassing you to begin with.

Plus Ryan is only 20-months-old...so as long as you throw something in the pumpkin, he's happy.

Ok - you’re on our list of stops now, like it or not. We'll try to be inconspicuous so we don't attract other little goblins.

Shut off the lights? Blasphemer! Halloween is the best holiday. ever. Don't tell me you're all about Christmas and the forced present buying and the family time. Yikes.

I'll be the first to admit I've been an all-around holiday humbug the last few years. Being the only truly single member of my family, I always go away from home for any celebrations. As such (and being a typical bachelor) I don't decorate for any holiday. If I were to do so, it would be this one!

Don't even get me started on Christmas...the commercialization of that holiday irritates the hell out of me.
